  1. WEEk 15 Date of teaching: Monday December 11th 2023 English 1–Period 25 UNIT 7: IN THE GARDEN Lesson 1 I. OBJECTIVES: 1. Language focus/ Knowledge: - Vocabulary: girl, goat, gate, garden. - Sound: /g/ 2. Competences: + Remember and say some new words: girl, goat, gate, garden. + Pronounce the sound of the letter: G/g 3. Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning English II. TEACHING AIDS: - Pictures, E- book, computer , projector, pictures, recording. III. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Activity 1:Warm up:5’ -:help ss to be eager and happy to begin the new lesson: - Have one group of Ss play the game Slap the board - SS play game. Activity 2. Listen and repeat:13’ : help Ss to pronounce the sound of the letter G/g and remember and say some new words: girl, goat, gate, garden. - Have Ss look at the picture and diescribe it, saying Look at the picture and describe it, please! Draw Ss’ attention to the words next to -Look at the picture and listen. the things/ people/ animal and the colour of the letter G/g. Check comprehension. -Ask Ss to point to the letter G/g, saying Point to the letter G/g, please! Have them listen and repeat the sound of the letter G/g, -Point, listen and repeat.

Ask them to describe the picture. Draw their attention to the letter G/g, the things/girl/animal and the colour of the letter g in the words, if necessary. -Look at the picture and discribe. -Get them to point to the letter G/g and say it, saying Point to the letter G/g and say, please! If they pronounced correctly. -Ask Ss to point to the garden and say the -Point and say word garden as a model, saying Point and say, please! Then ask one pupil to point to the garden and say the word garden in front of the class. Check comprehension. -Point and say -Follow the same procedure with the girl/animal/ thing. III/ PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ Game: Guessing game - to help ss review some vocabulary that they learnt. - grouping, miming, ask and answer. -Have ss to look through 3 pictures( which is closed). T opens each piece of each picture for ss to guess about the pets and then read alous name of the food.T checks and have ss read all the words. - SS listen and play game. - Say “Open your book page 31 and look at Unit 7, Lesson 1” 2. Listen and repeat: 10’ -SS open their book. - To correctly pronounce the name of letter J/j and the sound / j/ both in isolation and in the words juice, jelly, jam - The picture shows a kitchen with mother, juice , jelly and jam. - techniques in teaching listening and speaking, individual, pairworks, ask and answer - using flashcardas, recording, pictures - Have ss look at the picture and draw ss’ attention to the letter J/j ,the words next to the things and the colour of the letter J/j .

Knowledge: - use the words blue, brown, red, yellow related to the topic “colours” - use What colour is it? – It’s to ask and answer questions about colours of school things - Vocabulary: blue, brown, red, yellow, colour - Skills: speaking and listening 2. Competences: - Self-control and independent learning: perform listening tasks. - Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups. - Sociability: talk to each other, say good words to others. 3. Attitude/ Qualities: - Kindness: Help partners to complete learning tasks. - Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions B. TEACHING AIDS: - Teacher: Teacher’s guide Pages 111, 112, audio Tracks 87, 88, website sachmem.vn, posters, laptop, pictures, textbook, lesson plan, TV or projector. - Students: Pupil’s book Page 62, notebooks, workbooks, school things. C.
